PT Consultants is now hiring for the following POSITIONS:
Environmental Field Scientist
Job Duties:
- Perform and manage technical tasks such as fieldwork, including sampling, drilling, well installation, construction oversight, operations and maintenance, and report writing on environmental projects in the public and private sector.
- Participate in functions involving contact with client representative. Work/coordinate with project team personnel.
- Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
- This position requires travel in the tri-state area daily.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical, civil, or environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science, required.
- Direct experience in essential duties listed above, including demonstrated ability in technical writing.
- Direct experience in preparing documents such as Phase I and II ESAs, PAs, SIRs, RIRs, RAWs, RARs, and SPCCs is desirable.
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required; knowledge of computer-based CADD a must.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training is also strongly preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must; as well as the ability to thrive in professional and team-oriented work environment;
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license in good standing. This position requires the individual to drive either a company car or rental car in the course of performing their job from time to time.
